An exciting designer collaboration has taken place between Shiels own Toby Bensimon and an amazing South Australian Fashion Designer – Paul Vasileff. Paul is set to release his PAOLO SEBASTIAN 2014 AUTUMN/WINTER COUTURE COLLECTION with a finale dress with a difference.
An exciting designer collaboration has taken place between Shiels own Toby Bensimon and an amazing South Australian Fashion Designer – Paul Vasileff. Paul is set to release his PAOLO SEBASTIAN 2014 AUTUMN/WINTER COUTURE COLLECTION with a finale dress with a difference.
The finale gown marks the house’s collaboration with Shiels Jewellers to create Australia’s first million dollar diamond dress. Encrusted with yellow, white and cognac diamonds, Paolo Sebastian relished the opportunity to create the ultimate in luxury couture.
The partnership between the two Australian brands also includes a collection of Paolo Sebastian Couture Jewellery by Shiels featuring white, yellow, pink, and cognac diamonds. Over a six month period, Managing Director of Shiels, Toby Bensimon and Paul Vasileff worked closely to design the ten pieces of jewellery, which matches each garment look in the Autumn/Winter range.
“The Paolo Sebastian brand is about luxury and craftsmanship,” he said.
“I love to work with beautiful fabrics and the Million Dollar Diamond Dress shows that diamonds are the ultimate embellishment.”
Mr Vasileff said the entire project had been very “exciting”.
“This has been an exciting project to be involved in and having a hand in designing the couture jewellery collection has given me the chance to work in another area of fashion for the first time,” he said.
